Stuart Place was Evolve's first flat conversion project. The property was originally a traditional Bath stone, Victorian, 3-bedroom family home, split over 4 levels.


We identified the huge potential to better utilise this space. After considering various options, a flat conversion was the clear front-runner in terms of exit valuation, rental return, and lifestyle needs for residents.


The property now provides two spacious 2-bedroom maisonette flats, each spread over two floors. This is thanks to a dormer extension to the loft, providing more living space, and the conversion of the basement into desirable living accommodation.


The planning requirements were unique for this project, given that it resides in the Bath Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We worked within the local planning restrictions to achieve a result that further enhances the architectural character of this area.


A blend of traditional and contemporary design can be seen throughout these properties, staying true to many of the original period features. All interior design was handled in-house, and architectural support was provided by Josh Davies, of Davies Architecture. The total refurbishment took approximately 8 months.
